Those look so good. I have not had one since I was a kid. My Nanny used to make them for us. If I remember correctly I only ate the candy part. 🙂

Every year in my town, and at this time of year, was the “Onion Fair”… After all, we are “Onion Johnnies”. Caramelised peanuts, and those beauties were for sale. The French call them “pomme d’amour” or “Apple od Love” ( well… Quelle surprise!). I’ve never had them… Thank you for the memory! 🙂
