Quote of the Day Challenge – Day One

Happy Thursday Everyone!  🙂

Recently, I was nominated and challenged by my dear friend Lynne from LynnesRecipeTrails to participate in the Three Day Quote Challenge. Thank you, Lynne! I am honored & privileged! Placing all accolades aside, I asked myself, “How can I pull this off?” My self simply retorted “just do it!”

If you do not know Lynne (she’s a gem), I highly suggest you treat yourself to a visual journey and magically click yourself over to her lovely blog!  https://lynnesrecipetrails.com/

Lynne is from South Africa and lives on the East Coast of Natal. She is married and has two daughters and 7 furry children–three dogs and four cats.  All of which are rescues. I stand corrected, just the 7 fur kids are rescues—the two daughters were homemade 🙂

She has a love of keeping fit and eating healthily, but does like to indulge a bit every now and again…loving a decadent dessert after a good meal.

Lynne and I both are passionate about food and our love of cooking stem from childhood. Both of our mothers loved to cook and bake and filled our homes with abounding aromas and love.

Lynne’s Most Recent Creation!

Salad in a Bread Bowl!

Lynne shares really amazing recipes that are derived from what she makes and serves her family at home. Some are from childhood days from her mom, family and friends; others are of her personal finds from newspapers, cookbooks and magazines which she has put together over the years in a file.

Lynne is a lovely sweet spirit and I am blessed to know her. So can you 🙂

My Quote for today is from John Steinbeck…honoring the seasons and comparing them to life.

Rules for the challenge –

1 – Thank the blogger that nominated you.

2 – Share one new quote on three consecutive days on your blog. They can be from anyone, anything or anywhere.

3 – On each of the three days, nominate three more bloggers to carry on the fun! No pressure; nominees are free to decline.

My first day’s nominees are –

http://karenskitchen.co/ (Karen)

http://poemanddish.com/ (Zeina)

https://magickalfolk.wordpress.com/ (Candice)

Until tomorrow… 🙂

What a brilliant quote to kick off with – Steinbeck is spot on (as he often was). Well done on the nomination and I will spend a little time later exploring Lynne’s blog and those of your nominees … one of my guilty pleasures 🙂
