Balsamic Glaze: The Mysterious Dark Decedent Dynamic Drizzler…

Balsamic glaze is just an elaborate way of saying “reduced balsamic vinegar” and is also known as “reduction.”  It’s a very simple way to add a lot of flavor to dishes without adding a lot of extra calories or fat.

Trader Joe’s offers an excellent brand or you can make your own by simply reducing down balsamic vinegar by simmering in a non-reactive pan until slightly thick and syrupy. Then store it in your fridge to use as a dip for raw veggies or drizzled on salad or aged cheese.

It’s also a great way to add a little flavor punch to simply grilled fish or chicken. And every now and then if I’m having a little sweet tooth, I’ll mix some balsamic glaze with berries and spoon it over vanilla ice cream.

You will really enjoy the tangy-sweet-and-sour flavor it offers to any type of snack, dessert or main course. These are just a few examples of what the dark syrupy glaze has to suggest.
