In the UK they seem a bit more conservative, and though spending £1 bilion ($1.5 billion) on kitchen gadgets, they usually buy less exotic items.
In order of priority they are:
1. Microwave
2. Kettle
3. Toaster
4. Coffee machine
5. Bread maker
6. Slow cooker
7. George Foreman Grill
8. Juicer
9. Smoothie maker
10. Candy floss machine (cotton candy)

How interesting! In the US these are staples! With the exception of the candy floss maker 🙂 Candy floss, a much more interesting term than cotton candy.
