Taking pleasure in a steaming mug of this creamy calming cider is reminiscent of enjoying a freshly-made, real caramel apple from Grandma’s kitchen! Remember when? Sure to warm the soul on chilly autumn nights. Complete & utter relaxation…
I’ve made these amber glowing concoctions on several occasions for the likes of all ages and their reactions are all the same “Mmmm!! caramel apples!!”
This is one of the easiest, simplest and most definitely my most requested company drink. Be it with the quiet company of one or many. Absolutely amazing!
Ingredients:
1/3 c firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 c heavy whipping cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
4 c apple cider, or Martinelli’s apple juice…it’s the best apple juice on the market. by far
1 stick cinnamon stick
3 whole cloves (or mulling spices)
Directions
Stir brown sugar and whipping cream in a medium sized sauce pan. Stirring constantly, over medium heat, until brew starts to bubble. Stir in vanilla, spices and apple cider, simmer 10 minutes, stirring often. Remove from heat and remove spices. Pour in mugs, top with whipped cream, cinnamon stick and drizzle with caramel, if desired. Liquid Heaven…
Sweet! 😀
