Barbecue Ranch Chicken: 3 Ways 3 Ingredients

Best All

3 Ingredients and 3 different ways to prepare one of the moistest, tenderest, flavorful and easy chicken dishes around! Prep is minimal, but bottled ranch dressing is NOT recommended—it’s not thick enough. In fact, I use a little less milk and more mayonnaise when preparing the dressing. It sticks to the chick better 🙂 A nice organic dressing blend is available at your local natural market instead of Hidden Valley. Serve with baked sweet potatoes topped with butter & orange scented sour cream and a side of sugar peas whatever your little hearts desire. This simple chicken recipe is “stand alone” good!

2 pounds cut up fryer chicken, or bone in breasts & thighs. Leave skin on for maximum moistness.

2 cups prepared Ranch dressing…bottled is not recommended

¼ cup of your favorite thick BBQ sauce

Directions:

Mix dressing and BBQ sauce together. Coat both sides of all pieces of chicken. Marinate for up to 2 hours or coat and cook right away. The chicken can be prepared 3 ways: baked in the oven for 45 minutes at 375* BBQed on the grill for a total of 40 minutes—20 minutes on both sides or smoked in as smoker for 45 minutes total. It’s great all 3 Ways!
