“Oh the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
And since we’ve got no place to go
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!!
Oh, it doesn’t show signs of stopping
And I’ve brought some corn for popping
The lights are turned way down low
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!”
Popcorn Garland
Ingredients:
1 bag of microwave low fat popcorn popped
Fresh whole cranberries
Needle and thread
Directions:
Carefully remove the bag from the oven and open it to let the steam escape (an adults job). Pour popcorn into a large bowl and let cool. Open a bag of fresh cranberries and pour into separate bowl.
Thread a needle with about 36 inches of white or colored thread doubled to make the thread strong and a workable 18 inches long. Tie a knot at the end.
Choose a pattern to repeat, for example, two pieces of popcorn followed by a cranberry or 2 or 3. String several short garlands, then hang them on the tree.
Lovely 🙂

I remember doing this on Christmas Eve and Day with my patients. It helped them feel a wee bit better doing something when they had to be in the hospital. Thanks for the memories!
